Situation: FileCloud needed to enhance its DRM capabilities to address customer demands for a more intuitive and secure method of sharing and previewing sensitive documents directly within a web browser. The existing DRM solution required a client application, leading to a cumbersome and non-intuitive user experience. Additionally, the need for stronger protection against unauthorized sharing and access was paramount for clients in publishing, banking, government, and military sectors.
What I Did
Implementation Leadership:
Led the project from inception to completion, including requirement gathering, writing the Business Requirements Document (BRD), and aligning the feature team.
Provided continuous feedback during development to ensure the final product met customer needs and expectations.
Design and Development:
Designed the DRM Viewer to facilitate secure content sharing directly over the web without the need for third-party clients.
Developed wireframes and low-fidelity mockups using Balsamiq for the DRM Viewer.
Coordinated with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth integration of the DRM Viewer into the existing FileCloud platform.
Stakeholder Management:
Conducted stakeholder meetings to gather insights and ensure the project aligned with strategic goals.
